In honor of our favorite monster on monster movie making monster, we’re excited to bring you this NECA GODZILLA King of the Monsters Video Game Appearance Toho Co. 12-inch Figure.
This is the sixth figure in the NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) line of Godzilla action figures and is one of the more rare versions. His appearance for this figure is based on the based on his look in the 1988 Nintendo Entertainment System game “Godzilla: Monster of Monsters!”.
Godzilla stands over 6″ tall and is nearly 12” long, with over 30 points of articulation (including bendable tail) and all new dorsal plates to match his in-game silhouette. Stylized paint deco reproduces the video game’s pixilated look. The figure comes in a special window box packaging inspired by the classic video game cartridge box.”
High Tinkerer M grew up on Godzilla, and this is honestly one of our products that I’m most excited about. As a wee lass, I would sit in front of the TV, waaayyy back in the day, when Saturday morning cartoons ended and gave way to (even then) ancient movies and shows. While it also gave me a healthy appreciation for The Little Rascals and the 3 Stooges, my thing was Godzilla. This figure is a fitting tribute to my main monster. If you love Godzilla like I love Godzilla, you’re going to want this one for your collection.
When the new movie comes out later this month, maybe you can take this guy to see his most modern version in theatres. It has all the classics, Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah (and the Godzilla vs. Ghidorah looks AMAZING. HOLY CHEESEBALLS.)
